How to find
- Nef Runes are one type of extra rune that the Countess may drop on any difficulty.
- One of the rewards for completing Hellforge on standard difficulty is a chance of 1 to 11 drops of a Nef Rune.

- Unless it was previously higher, an item socketed with a Nef Rune raises the item’s level requirement to 13.

Horadric Recipes
- One Eth Rune can be created by transmuting x3 Nef Runes.
- To build a created Hit Power body armor, transmute a magic field plate or the exceptional/elite version (kraken shell or sharktooth armor), a gem, a Nef rune, and a perfect sapphire.
- To produce a handmade pair of Blood gloves, transmute magic heavy gloves or exceptional/elite versions (such as sharkskin or vampirebone gloves), a gem, a Nef rune, and a perfect ruby.
- To build a created Caster helm, transmute a flawless amethyst, a jewel, a Nef rune, and a magic mask or exceptional/elite variant (death mask or demonhead).
- To produce a created Safety shield, transmute a magic kite shield or its exceptional/elite form (dragon shield or monarch), a jewel, a Nef rune, and a perfect emerald.
