How to play Ling:

Ling’s built in mobility through his passive (Cloud Walker) allows him to quickly travel the map from wall to wall. He also has a higher crit probability thanks to his passive.

If Ling is crowd controlled, he is quickly destroyed.

Tactics:

Early game (level 1-7): For a few items, Ling will need to farm early in the jungle.

Mid game (level 8-12): Find lone targets, particularly weak ones like the enemy marksman and mage. Help your team win team battles by identifying and taking out priority targets.

Late game (level 13+): Consider split pushing if you frequently find yourself locked down and quickly slain in team battles. You pressure a turret on the other side of the battlefield from where your team is applying pressure on a turret. Enemies will be forced to split up or lose one of their turrets as a result.

Ling Skills

Passive – Cloud Walker

Ling’s superb Lightness Skill helps him leap among walls. When resting on the wall, He gains 4 Lightness Points per second when he’s on a walland 5 extra Lightness Points each time he deals damage. Ling gains 2 times Crit Chance from all sources but only has 140% Critical Damage.

Skill 1 – Finch Poise

Passive: Ling has a 2.5%–10% permanent increase in critical chance.

Active: Ling activates his Lightness Skill, leaps onto the chosen wall, transitions into a semi-stealth state, restores lightness points more rapidly, and increases movement speed by 30%. Ling will awaken from his half-stealth state if he sustains harm. He will collapse to the ground and slow down by 30% for two seconds if he is restrained. This skill will renew the half-stealth state and reset the Cooldown when used to jump from one wall to another.

Skill 2 – Defiant Sword

When Ling arrives at his target, he charges in that direction and stabs the foes there, causing 300–400 (+40% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage.

Ling will dash to the specified spot on the ground if he casts this talent while he is on the wall, dealing 300-400 (+40% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage and slowing nearby opponents by 30% for 1.5 seconds. The adversaries’ movement speed will be reduced by an additional 45% for 0.75 seconds if this attack critically hits.

Every time it strikes an adversary, Defiant Sword—which is classified as a Basic Attack—restores 35–60 HP for Ling. It also has the ability to cause attack effects.

Skill 3 – Tempest of Blades

Ling leaps into the air, earning 10% more movement speed and 1.5 seconds of invincibility. When in the air, he has complete mobility. He then descends to the earth, causing 250–450 (+100% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to nearby foes while also casting a Sword Field for 8 seconds and lifting those in the middle into the air for 1 second.

On the edge of the Sword Field, four Tempest of Blades will also manifest. Ling can touch them to get 25 Lightness points, reset the cooldown of Defiant Sword, and shorten the 4 second Finch Poise cooldown.
