Hey, I’m Zathong and this guide is about Lem rune in Diablo 2. Lem grants item different properties depending on if the Socketed Item is a Weapon or a piece of Armor. Let’s just get into the details below!

How to find
- Lem Runes may be among the extra Runes that the Countess drops when facing Hell difficulty.
- A Lem Rune is one of the rewards of the Hellforge’s 1 in 11 chance of dropping on Nightmare or Hell difficulties.

- Unless it was previously higher, an item socketed with a Lem Rune raises the item’s level requirement to 43.

Horadric Recipes
- A Flawed Emerald and three Lem Runes can be transmuted to produce one Pul Rune. (Only in ladder, open, or single-player modes)
- To upgrade the base type of unique armor to its elite variant, you can transmute an exceptional unique armor, a Ko rune, a Lem rune, and a Perfect Diamond. (open, ladder, or single-player only)
- The base weapon type of an exceptional set armor can be upgraded to its elite variant by transmuting it along with a Perfect Diamond, Ko, Lem, and exceptional set armor.
