Meta Hero Analysis

This analysis breaks down the reasoning behind our rankings, focusing on the current combat mechanics, item synergies, and rotation speeds in the latest patch.

Tier S+: The Meta Dominators

The heroes in S+ are the most “oppressive” in the current landscape. Their presence alone forces the enemy team to change their strategy.

  • Dominant Control: Zhuxin and Gatotkaca are placed here due to their superior Area of Effect (AoE) disruption. In a meta that favors tight team fights, their ability to lock down multiple enemies is game-changing.
  • High-Speed Execution: Hayabusa, Ling, and Fanny benefit from the current jungle changes. Their mobility allows them to clear camps and gank lanes faster than any other class.
  • Instant Pick-offs: Saber and Helcurt provide “point-and-click” burst damage. In high-rank play, the ability to instantly delete an enemy carry like Lesley (who is also S+) is the most reliable way to secure objectives.

Tier S: High-Utility Staples

Tier S heroes are the backbone of consistent winning streaks. They are strong, versatile, and have fewer hard counters.

  • Tactical Utility: Faramis and Mathilda are prioritized because they provide “second chances.” Whether it’s immortality or a free dash, they compensate for teammates’ positioning errors.
  • The Marksmanship Meta: Hanabi, Miya, and Bruno are the preferred Gold Laners. Unlike lower tiers, these heroes have high synergy with defensive roamers like Tigreal and Khufra, making them deadly in the late game.
  • Control Mages: Chang’e, Zhask, and Novaria offer long-range poke and siege capabilities, allowing teams to defend high-ground turrets effectively.

Tier A: Balanced and Skill-Dependent

Tier A contains heroes that are powerful but require high mechanical mastery or specific conditions to shine.

  • Mechanical Outplay: Gusion, Claude, and Benedetta can easily play like S+ heroes in the hands of experts. However, they are more vulnerable to the crowd control of Tier S+ tanks.
  • Raw Damage Output: Classic heroes like Zilong, Alucard, and Layla sit here. While their damage is massive, their lack of built-in escape tools makes them “high-risk, high-reward” compared to the safer Tier S picks.

Tier B & C: Situational Specialists

These tiers consist of heroes that are strong counter-picks but struggle against the high mobility of the current meta.

  • Predictable Mechanics: Heroes like Franco (Tier B) or Minsitthar (Tier D) rely heavily on landing a single skill shot. If they miss, they become dead weight for several seconds.
  • Scaling Issues: Lunox and Harith (Tier C) are powerful but require a significant gold lead to be effective. In a fast-paced meta, they often get shut down by S+ assassins before they can reach their power spikes.

Tier D: Off-Meta Risks

Tier D heroes like Martis, Terizla, and Vexana are currently struggling because their skill animations are too slow or predictable. Against a Tier S+ Ling or Saber, these heroes are easily kited and neutralized before they can contribute to the fight.

Top 3 Meta Team Compositions

To dominate the current meta, individual skill is not enough; you must understand team synergy. Here are the three most effective team compositions based on our Tier List:

The Global Presence & Map Control

This squad focuses on dominating the map and being everywhere at once. It is designed to overwhelm the enemy through superior vision and rapid rotations.

  • Core Heroes: Ling (Jungle), Novaria (Mid), Chip (Roam).
  • How it works: Novaria provides constant vision with her ultimate, pinpointing enemy locations. Chip uses his portals to transport the team across the map instantly, allowing Ling to secure kills and objectives before the enemy can react. This composition is nearly impossible to split-push against.

The Heavy Crowd Control & Burst

Ideal for players who love aggressive team fights and “wombo-combos.” This lineup is built to lock down targets and delete them instantly.

  • Core Heroes: Gatotkaca (Roam), Saber (Jungle), Zhuxin (Mid).
  • How it works: Gatotkaca initiates with a massive area-of-effect stun. Zhuxin follows up by displacing enemies and pulling them into a cluster. Finally, Saber uses his point-and-click ultimate to eliminate the enemy’s main damage dealer (Gold Laner or Mage) immediately. It is the ultimate “pick-off” strategy.

The Late-Game Fortress

If you prefer a defensive playstyle that scales into an unstoppable force, this is the best composition for your team.

  • Core Heroes: Tigreal (Roam), Faramis (Mid), Lesley (Gold).
  • How it works: This team focuses on protecting the Gold Lane. Tigreal provides a defensive wall and massive set-ups. If the enemy engages, Faramis uses his ultimate to grant the team a “second life,” allowing Lesley to safely stay in the backline and shred enemies with her S+ Tier true damage.

How We Rank: Our Evaluation Criteria

To ensure our Mobile Legends Tier List is as accurate and objective as possible, we evaluate each hero based on four core pillars. Our rankings are updated weekly to reflect the latest patch notes and meta shifts in high-rank matchmaking (Mythical Glory and above).

Win Rates and Pick/Ban Ratios

We analyze global data from the official MLBB servers. Heroes in the S+ Tier typically have a win rate above 53% or a ban rate exceeding 60%. If a hero is consistently banned in professional tournaments and high-rank play, they are considered a “Meta Definer.”

Versatility and Draft Impact

A high-tier hero must be versatile. We look at how well a hero fits into different team compositions. Heroes like Faramis or Zhuxin are ranked high because they provide utility that is useful regardless of who their teammates are.

Lane Dominance and Power Spikes

We assess how well a hero performs during the three phases of the game:

  • Early Game: Can they secure kills or objectives (Turtle) at level 2-4?
  • Mid Game: Do they have a strong power spike with 1-2 core items?
  • Late Game: Can they carry the team or provide game-winning crowd control in the final minutes?

Counter-play and Mobility

In the current meta, mobility is everything. Heroes with multiple dashes or immunity skills (like Hayabusa or Ling) naturally rank higher because they are harder to catch and punish. Conversely, heroes who are easily countered by common items or skills are placed in lower tiers.
