Bane of the Powerful Mechanics

After eliminating an Elite pack, the player earns 20% multiplicative damage for 30 seconds. To obtain this benefit in the case of Rare (Yellow) Elites, you must also eliminate every minion. When slain, Treasure Goblins, Rift Guardians, Act Bosses, and special purple monsters also grant you the boost.

This legendary gem may be leveled up to rank 150. The multiplicative damage buff’s duration will grow by 1 second with each upgrade, for a total of 180 seconds. The 15% damage increase against Elites from the secondary effect is cumulative to base damage and additive to other Elite Damage sources like The Furnace. Moreover, the secondary effect 15% lessens damage dealt to Elites. Blackthorne’s Battlegear (3) benefit and other Elite damage reduction sources are multiplicative with this benefit.

Most frequently seen in content about speed farming. This includes lower tier speed Greater Rifts and Keystone farming in Greater Rifts. Since it is extremely potent even at low ranks, this is the first Legendary Gem to drop in a new season and is utilized extensively in the beginning.
