William makes a massive difference on the battlefield with his defense and rage boost and if you make his buff work on all marches you really get it rolling.

Skills
Hidden Bloodline (Active Skill)
In a rectangular area facing forward, do damage to up to three enemies. For every target after the first, the damage dealt to each target is decreased by 15%. Buffs that increase skill damage cannot be applied to attacked troops, and their march speed is slowed down for three seconds.
Charge of Hastings (Passive Skill)
Under his command, the attack and marching speed of all cavalry forces are boosted. When on alliance territory, the damage dealt to all forces is increased.
Norman Conquest (Passive Skill)
All commanded cavalry units have an increased attack while on the map, and regular attacks have a 10% chance of dealing direct damage to the target. The target will take additional damage if it is encircled (Damage Factor: number of surrounding troops x 40). This additional damage is calculated by counting up to five nearby troops.
Scourge of the North (Passive Skill)
“Hidden Bloodline” gives this commander’s forces an additional 3 seconds of defense when it hits a target. All of this commander’s soldiers and neighboring allied troops gain 10% improved defense and 50% anger every second for three seconds when “Hidden Bloodline” hits two or more targets.

Enhance Skill: Norman Conquest
Without Expertise: All commanded cavalry units get a 20% attack bonus while on the map, and regular attacks have a 10% chance of directly damaging the target (Damage Factor 800). The target will take additional damage if it is encircled (Damage Factor: number of surrounding troops x 80). This additional damage is calculated by counting up to five nearby troops.
With Expertise: All commanded cavalry units’ attack is boosted by 30% while they are on the map, and standard attacks have a 10% chance of directly damaging the target (Damage Factor 1000). The target will take additional damage if it is encircled (Damage Factor: number of surrounding troops x 100). This additional damage is calculated by counting up to five nearby troops.
William Pros and cons
Pros:
- Cavalry commander, quick and powerful.
- Its active talent for AOE damage is quite potent.
- William I is a great open-field commander who may be used as a primary or secondary.
- Because of his abilities, he is one of the most balanced cavalry commanders in Rise of Kingdoms, and his advantages in battle are perfect for open terrain.
Cons:
- It has no element that promotes healing.
- The main advantage of being a commander for PVP is not gained by attacking garrisons.
- He still has great abilities, but his contribution to PVE won’t be very significant.
