Using his Super, Surge may momentarily deflect any incoming projectiles.
Surge is a straightforward target for throwers in his early stages. Until Surge reaches Stage 1, staying out of range or simply dodging throwers boosts his chances of survival.
His Power Surge Gadget can be used for a quick escape or dodge by teleporting behind a wall/through the attack and staying behind it for cover.
In 3v3 events, such as Brawl Ball, conserving a charged Super until after respawn can provide a vital speed boost immediately after Surge is able to rejoin in the action.
His Food Is Cold Due to the fact that Star Power may only be used after Surge has been beaten, it is utterly ineffective in Solo Showdown and questionable in Duo Showdown.
