Armor King Gameplay
Armor King is a character with a strong focus on fundamentals. He can’t quite build momentum on offense or easy mixups, but his toolkit and movement allow him to relentlessly poke away at opponents while keeping them at a comfortable range. Once he can wavedash in on his opponent, Armor King has access to difficult but rewarding strike/throw mixups.
Outside of traditional strengths, he also has a few tricks up his sleeve. With Poison Mist and various unblockable attacks, Armor King can also execute a variety of setups after scoring a knockdown or restricting opponents’ movement by putting them against a wall. Overall, while simple at the base level, Armor King particularly rewards more advanced players who have a grasp of Tekken fundamentals, as well as character specialists who can dedicate the time to learn his more obscure offensive options.

Armor King Story
Armor King we see in Tekken 7 is Armor King II, the younger brother of the original Armor King. His story begins in Tekken 5. After his older brother was killed in a bar brawl by Craig Marduk, Armor King II was enraged and sought revenge, much like King II, who cherished Armor King as his mentor. After entering the King of the Iron First tournament, King II beat Marduk and visited him at the hospital to deliver a finishing blow. However, after seeing a picture of Marduk’s family, he discarded thoughts of revenge, wishing for Marduk to be redeemed instead. This led to Armor King II despising King II and choosing to pursue vengeance in his own way.
Since then, Armor King II has been relentlessly chasing after Marduk to fight him and end it once and for all.
