Doom’s Pros and Cons

Pros

• No farm needed.
• Great for Dual Lanes.
• Solves Mana issues for all stages of game.
• Sleeper Build (Enemy Will be Surprised).
• Early Level Death during lane phase with mana to cast is serious!
• Two dooms can turn an entire game around in team fights.

Cons

• Vulnerable to ranged heroes.
• Vulnerable to slows.
• Low starting armor, vulnerable to early harassment.
• Has low intelligence and armor gain.
• Has a very low attack speed due to his 2 second base attack time and low agility.
• Infernal Blade can miss if the opponent has evasion.

Doom’s Ability

DEVOUR

Consumes an enemy or neutral creep, acquiring any special abilities that it possessed. If autocast is deactivated, Doom will not acquire the creep’s abilities. Duration is equal to the cooldown.

SCORCHED EARTH

Carpets the nearby earth in flames which damage enemies, while also granting him increased movement speed. Deals more damage the more heroes are in the area.

INFERNAL BLADE

Doom swings his burning sword, igniting the enemy. Stuns for 0.6 seconds and applies a 4.0 second burn that deals a base damage plus a percentage of the target’s Max HP as damage per second.

DOOM

Inflicts a curse that dispels an enemy Hero and prevents an them from casting spells or using items, while taking damage over time.

INFERNAL BLADE – SHARD ABILITY UPGRADE

Infernal Blade stun duration is increased from 0.6 to 1.2 seconds. If the enemy’s level is a multiple of 3, or above level 24, they will be stunned for an additional 0.6 seconds and take 150 bonus damage.

DOOM – SCEPTER ABILITY UPGRADE

Doom applies Break and increases duration by 6 seconds.

One of Doom’s greatest weaknesses is his minimal base armor and low agility, making him vulnerable to physical damage despite being a strength hero, and reducing his physical damage output potential

Due to Devour, Doom is a good farmer who can quickly get the gold to purchase many strong core items to alleviate his weaknesses. His ability to obtain gold and experience using this ability also allows him to diversify and play many different roles depending on what his team needs.
