Archer Queen | Countess, Wave Master, Shield Maiden, Fisherman, Miner, Archer | Archer Queen is commonly placed in the farthest back row. So using characters that attack the backline is a good strategy, especially since her biggest weakness is her low health. However, you may also need some high damage-dealers upfront if she is protected by tanks in the back. If you can’t manage to get to her, it can be smart to utilize healers to outlast the team protecting her. |
Barbarian King | Archer Queen, Monk, Giant Skeleton, P.E.K.K.A, Wizard | Barbarian King is often in the front trying to push as fast as possible. Utilizing characters that deal damage when KO’d or have a chance to crit while attacking is smart to try and take him out quickly. It’s also important to use ranged and anti-healing units to keep him from healing with his level 5 ability, Born Leader. |
Countess | Monk, Shield Maiden, Barbarian King, Ice Wizard, Wizard, Musketeer | Countess is constantly moving around and healing herself. Using characters that slow or stun her is key to keeping her in one place to deal damage. This, in combination with high-damage units and tanks, can be very useful for taking her out quickly. |
Monk | Archer Queen, Royal Champion, Giant Skeleton, Electro Wizard, Ice Wizard, Musketeer | Monk is very powerful when he uses his Super. So the best thing you can do is to keep him from using it. Having characters that stun, slow, and dissipate him will be an easy way to take him out. Tanks with lots of health or units that deal damage when KO’d are also great as another layer of protection to keep him away from your Hero. |
Royal Champion | Shield Maiden, Archer Queen, Wave Master, Miner, Golden Giant, Fisherman | Royal Champion can take out an entire team if your health is low. The best way to play against her is by keeping your team healed or focusing on her at the beginning of the round. It’s smart to set up tanks with high amounts of health that can end her Bouncing Shield. It can also help to send units to attack from the back with Backstab since she needs to move forward because of her short range. |
Shield Maiden | Monk, Magic Archer, Golden Giant, P.E.K.K.A, Giant Skeleton, Battle Healer | Shield Maiden is almost always positioned front and center as the main tank. Using other tanks with the ability to heal can be a great way to keep her occupied while taking out her supporting Minis. It’s also important to try and outlast Shield Maiden compared to dealing a rapid amount of damage. Her Magic Shield can easily take out your team if their attack speed is increased. Units with the chance to deal a high amount of damage from a single hit or can attack through her shield will be a strong matchup against her. |
Wave Master | Monk, Shield Maiden, Golden Giant, Mini P.E.K.K., AIce Wizard, Electro Wizard | Wave Master is a tsunami of stuns. The best way to take him on is to keep him from using his Super as much as possible. Units that can dissipate his energy and stun will be crucial to create openings to attack. Some characters can also benefit from being stunned when he does hit them. Spreading apart your team, though, can help alleviate the amount of units hit from his dash. It might also help to use anti-healing units if he is level 5 or above. |
