Corrupted Genius

Every six seconds, Samuel’s subsequent basic attack unleashes a dark power bolt that restores life and energy to Samuel and delivers extra crystal damage.

• Damage from crystals: 50–60 (level 1–12)
• Health: 1–12 (levels 1–10), healing
• Energy replenishment: 30–200 (level 1–12)
• Against non-heroes, the restorative powers are just 25% as powerful.

Malice & Verdict

Samuel strikes the first enemy with a pair of wand-fired bolts that he directs at a specific place. Samuel is able to maneuver in between shots.

These bolts move more quickly, cover more ground, and cause more area damage if Samuel is inside the energy shield created by Drifting Dark. The cooldown is also much shortened.

• Reduced damage is dealt to minions by empowered shots.

Drifting Dark

When Samuel summons a large area of darkness, it steadily moves forward and deals damage to all opponents who are inside. Malice & Verdict is substantially strengthened if Samuel is inside as well, and he heals for a little amount for each target it affects.

• If Samuel travels farther than 16 meters from the field, it will vanish.
• Minions receive 50% less damage from you.

Oblivion

After a little pause, Samuel calls forth a phantasm at the chosen spot, dozing off adjacent foes. Inflicted enemies are immobile and powerless.

• A sleeping adversary will be awakened by receiving direct damage from an attack or ability.

Samuel’s Tips and tricks

In order to direct adversaries in the direction you want them to travel, use Drifting Dark as a deterrent.

When using Oblivion, make an effort to coordinate with your teammates. To optimize your advantage, avoid awakening some heroes and focus on others.

Watch your Corrupted Genius perk carefully. When the opportunity arises, aim for an enemy hero!
