Start of turn: Discount the 2-left most shop pets by 1 gold.
Level 2
Start of turn: Discount the 2-left most shop pets by 2 gold.
Level 3
Start of turn: Discount the 2-left most shop pets by 3 gold.
Strategy
Since it can save up to six money every turn in the late game, or none at all if you choose not to purchase any pets, the money Fish can be compared to a more erratic Swan. You will receive 1 Gold for each pet you buy and sell that is discounted by its Level 3 ability.
A pet that is kept frozen for several rounds will have its discount stacked, with a minimum of 0 Gold.
Goldfish functions best when added to a buy/sell setup. You almost certainly make good use of your cheap pets if you couple it with a Dog, Buffalo, and/or Starfish.
Freezing the creatures you want it to discount is a nice way to make sure it discounts anything worthwhile when using goldfish.
