About weapons in Diablo 3
Weapons can be either One-Handed, Two-Handed or Ranged. Generally, weapons are also divided into Melee Weapons and Ranged Weapons.
In Diablo 3, weapons may roll the following stats:

Plain damage of the weapons has become very important for all classes, for damage of every damaging skill is measured in percentage of the basic attack damage.
