Kenji alternates between low-damage dash attacks and moderate-damage katana slashes. His Super throws a fish across terrain, disappears, and then slashes with a cross-shaped attack dealing large area-of-effect damage.
Tips and Tricks
Use dash to close the distance and dodge attacks; Dashi Dash should dash sideways for unpredictability. Prioritize slashing for better damage and healing.
Use Super to dodge powerful attacks and crowd control, prioritizing charging into multiple enemies to easily chain Supers.
Play Kenji in Showdown, utilize dash to farm cubes and save your Super for the late game; use your Super when the poison circle is forced to grant temporary immunity.
Before using Super, make sure your next move is a dash to retreat safely, as Kenji is quite weak after using the move. The dash helps with dribbling and positioning, while the slash has a wide range for wall-pressing; Super can score if timed correctly, but it’s quite difficult.
